House of Software was founded with a simple ambition: to make Southern Denmark a place where software and tech talent want to be – and stay. What started as a volunteer-driven initiative has grown into an organisation with a mission to create 500 new tech jobs in the region — and the backing to make it happen.

We are supported by Sønderborg Kommune, the SDU - University of Southern Denmark, STEAR, Sønderborg Vækstråd, and GOTO Fonden Sønderborg. Together, we're building the infrastructure for a stronger, more connected tech community in Southern Denmark.

Our Milestones
What started as an idea has become a living community. In a little over a year, House of Software has grown from the ground up — bringing together developers, founders, students, and tech enthusiasts across Sønderborg and beyond.

Laying the Foundation
The community takes its first steps. We establish the core structure of House of Software and begin building the network that will carry everything forward — connecting local companies, international talent, and ambitious people who want to shape the region.
A Community Finds Its Rhythm
Events start filling up. The programming expands, covering everything from hands-on technical workshops to social gatherings that bring different parts of the tech ecosystem together. Momentum builds.
Growing Wider
House of Software brings in its first community manager and hired staff — a signal that what started as a volunteer-driven effort has become something bigger. Partnerships deepen, new formats launch, and the community reaches 550+ participants across 15+ events.
Building the Future
With a growing member base, national partnerships, and a brand-new website, House of Software enters its next chapter. The ambition: become the go-to hub for tech talent in Southern Denmark — and help make Sønderborg one of the most exciting places to build a career in tech.

Membership is available for companies and public organisations. Annual fees are invoiced yearly — if you join after 30 June, 50% applies for the remainder of the year. All prices ex. VAT.
